AURORAL Node: Backup & Restore

In this article it is described the procedure of backing up an AURORAL Node instance and restoring it in a different machine.

NOTE: Backup&Restore is backing up only core node components. If you are using some plugin, you need to do backup&restore manually. (see part 3)

1. Backing up core NODE

NOTE: If you are using latest images in docker compose, please update all node images before backing up the Node (./node-cli -u). If you are using fixed versions of auroralgateway and auroralagent, you don't need to update.

2. Restoring core NODE

3. Backup&Restore your plugins

It is no possible to backup or restore plugins using script ./node_cli.sh, so if you need to move your plugins together with node, please do it manually.

Node-RED

In Node-RED you can use integrated feature called import/export (accesible under menu button). Just export all flows to JSON file, which you can later import to new instance of Node-RED.

Other plugins

Please backup your settings and data in other plugins manually. If you are having troubles, please contact developer of plugin.
